The Long March

a look at the music of Vangelis Papathanassiou

Introduction
For the completist collector there are a couple of singles truly worth tracking down a copy of, and this is one of them! Whichever print, you'll find that the single contains the original track of "The Long March" as available in the 1979 "China" album, and as a bonus, the B-side of the single has a different version of the same track named "The Long March (Part II)".

This other version of "The Long March" is exactly the same composition and arrangement as the original, but with lyrics sung on top of it. The lyrics are sung by the children of the Orleons Infant School Twickenham, who also wrote them. The sales of the single were used to raise money for UNICEF.
